The value of the project and co-financing is: 19 612 292,71 PLN.
On 19.03.2024 and 09.04.2024, a two-day seminar for teachers "Modern methods of language teaching – primary schools" was organized as part of the project entitled: "LOW AND HIGHER – INCREASING THE ECONOMIC POTENTIAL OF THE CITY AND THE COMPETITIVENESS OF LIFE IN THE CITY", co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. According to the assumptions of the project, the seminar was attended by foreign language teachers teaching in schools located in the Nisko commune. A total of 24 teachers took part in it.
The first part of the seminar was held in a classroom mode and included a discussion of innovative strategies and tools supporting effective foreign language learning, as well as motivational techniques and the latest educational technologies used for language learning.
Dear Residents of Our Commune,
It is with great pleasure that we would like to share with you the results and extensive experience gained during the "Nisko coraz wyżej..." conference held on April 12, 2024, which was a summary of the project financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. This event was a unique opportunity to jointly reflect on achievements, exchange good practices and discuss the future of our city.
During the conference, which took place at NCK Sokół, we had the honor to host representatives of key project partners, such as Niżański County, the Municipal Public Library in Nisko, NCK "Sokół", the Norwegian commune of Midt Telemark and the Yacht Club. Their involvement in the project contributed to achieving many important results.
Mr. Tomasz Podkański, Director of the ZMP Office, appeared on stage and emphasized the importance of partnership for the development of small and medium-sized cities and the use of model solutions and the promotion of good practices as key elements of the project's success..
The conference was divided into two parts: lectures and discussions. In the lecture part, the representatives of Pheno Horizon, Ms. Justyna Borkowska and Ms. Daria Błażewska, discussed the results of the marketing study conducted on the construction of the LHS terminal in Nowosielec, in the municipality and city of Nisko. The key result of the survey is the indication of the interest of local companies in the terminal under construction: 81% of the surveyed companies at the stage of the in-depth study indicated the need to build an LHS terminal, most of the companies indicated the need to build a multimodal terminal, i.e. for the transport of cargo using more than one mode of transport, moreover, in the product area, companies indicated mainly container and loose goods.
In the next speech, Mr. Dariusz Sikora – Member of the Management Board for Trade and Operation of PKP LHS discussed the types of existing and functioning LHS terminals, taking into account the demand for new terminals, including the LHS terminal in Nowosielec.

During the conference, we will discuss the plans for the development of the terminal, the analysis of benefits for the local community, the prospects related to access to modern logistics infrastructure, and a summary of the marketing study on the construction of the LHS terminal will be presented. We will also present in detail the concept of connection with the railway line, emphasizing the strategic importance of this project for our city. The agenda of the Conference includes presentations of key people and a discussion panel with experts in the field of logistics and transport. It is a great opportunity to ask questions, express opinions and participate in a discussion on the development of the region.
