On March 26, 2024, a conference on the construction of the LHS terminal in Nowosielec was held at NCK "Sokół" in Nisko. The main objective of the conference was to present the results of a marketing study commissioned by the Municipality and the Town of Nisko in the field of assessing the need for the implementation of the indicated investment.
The conference was divided into two parts: lectures and discussions. In the lecture part, the representatives of Pheno Horizon, Ms. Justyna Borkowska and Ms. Daria Błażewska, discussed the results of the marketing study conducted on the construction of the LHS terminal in Nowosielec, in the municipality and city of Nisko. The key result of the survey is the indication of the interest of local companies in the terminal under construction: 81% of the surveyed companies at the stage of the in-depth study indicated the need to build an LHS terminal, most of the companies indicated the need to build a multimodal terminal, i.e. for the transport of cargo using more than one mode of transport, moreover, in the product area, companies indicated mainly container and loose goods.
In the next speech, Mr. Dariusz Sikora – Member of the Management Board for Trade and Operation of PKP LHS discussed the types of existing and functioning LHS terminals, taking into account the demand for new terminals, including the LHS terminal in Nowosielec.

Ms. Ewa Draus – Deputy Marshal of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship presented the socio-economic conditions of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship in the area of the possibility of building a terminal and the possibility of financial support for this type of investment from the European Funds for Podkarpacie Program for 2021-2027.
The next point of the conference was the presentation by Mr. Lucjusz Nadbereżny, the Mayor of the City of Stalowa Wola, of information on the investment under construction, which may be of significant importance for the assessment of the economic efficiency of the LHS terminal planned for construction. The Mayor of Stalowa Wola presented information about the Strategic Investment Park under construction and new transport connections that will connect, i.a., the terminal under construction, with the newly built southern bypass of the city of Stalowa Wola.
At the end of the lecture, Mr. Waldemar Ślusarczyk, Mayor of the Municipality and City of Nisko, discussed the current level of advancement of works in the area of the construction of the LHS terminal, its key conditions and the current stage of the decisions and permits obtained, which contribute to the fact that the key investment for the development of our municipality is becoming real and possible to implement. The Mayor summed up the scope of works already completed, presented the key conditions and discussed the key conditions for the implementation of the investment.
In the second part of the conference, the invited guests in a discussion panel talked about the conditions necessary for the construction of the terminal, its profitability and importance for the economic development of the northern part of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The panel was attended by: Waldemar Ślusarczyk – Mayor of the Municipality and City of Nisko, Marcin Górski – President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Stalowa Wola, Maciej Kowalczyk – Chief Advisor to Pheno Horizon, Dariusz Sikora – Member of the Management Board for Trade and Operation of PKP LHS, Sławomir Rzepecki – Member of the Management Board of MaczkiBór S.A. and Tomasz Miśko – Director of the Tarnobrzeg Branch of IDA S.A.
