W From 2 to 3 June, we had the pleasure to host representatives of the Norwegian local government MIDT-TELEMARK in our municipality. The visit was related to the preparation of both municipalities to establish bilateral cooperation as part of the project implemented by the Municipality and the City of Nisko entitled "Nisko higher and higher – increasing the economic potential of the city and the competitiveness of life in the city", co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the years 2014 - 2021 (85%) and the state budget (15%).
The cooperation began with a meeting of representatives of both municipalities in Warsaw during a conference organized by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy for all cities participating in the project. The meeting was attended by representatives of Polish, Norwegian and Icelandic cities.
PoAfter the meeting in Warsaw, our partners from Norway were invited to Nisko to determine the rules of further cooperation.
In our municipality, the Norwegian delegation took part in a series of meetings with the participation of the Mayor of the Commune and City of Nisko Waldemar Ślusarczyk, the project team and employees of the Office, as well as directors of organizational units and project partners. During the stay of our Norwegian guests, it was possible to discuss and refine a joint bilateral agreement between Nisko and Midt-Telemark. Guests from Norway also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural offer of our municipality, visiting the Nisko’s Center of Culture "Sokół", educational offer, visiting the High School in Nisko and the offer of spending free time, walking around the City Park and recreational areas at the Water Reservoir in Podwolina.
Establishing cooperation with a partner from Norway - the MIDT-TELEMARK Commune is another step in the institutional development of our commune.
