On May 10-11, 2023, we hosted representatives of the Midt – Telemark Municipality from Norway for the third time. The group of representatives of the Partner from Norway included the Mayor of Midt – Telemark Siri Blichfeldt Dyrland, the Municipal Manager Mr. Per Dehli, the representative of the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities Ms. Inger Lysa, which brings together Norwegian cities, as well as representatives of the local government and Norwegian business. The visit took place as part of a partnership under the Local Development Programme, co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. The purpose of the visit was to jointly share knowledge and experience in the development and support of local entrepreneurship. Together, we discussed how cities should create space for the development of local business.

 

W During the visit, our guests from Norway had the opportunity to meet with local entrepreneurs, learn about the product offer of Nizhany business and get acquainted with the investment offer of our commune. On the first day, the Mayor of the Municipality and the City of Nisko, Mr. Waldemar Ślusarczyk, presented the current investment offer of the municipality based on the investment areas in Nowosielec and Zarzecze, presented the tourist offer of the reservoir in Podwolin, and presented a new project related to the construction of the LHS terminal in Nowosielec. On the first day, the Partner from Norway also visited local entrepreneurs: VOSTER, a company producing doors, and OPTIMUM, a company dealing with the production of mattresses. In the Cudziło Bakery, the guests learned the rules of baking traditional Polish bread. On the second day, the delegation from Norway visited ARMES, a company that manufactures abrasives, NIKOS, which produces pet food, and TOLO, which prepares bedding products for children and babies.
During the visit, it was possible to establish preliminary business relations, which may result in the opening of Polish companies to Norwegian markets.
